Introducing our latest FileHound release V3.4
The FileHound team are proud to introduce our latest FileHound version 3.4 – with this release we have made more ground on our core vision for FileHound, centred around three key concepts;
Flexibility, capability and simplicity.
With FileHound our goal is to bring enterprise level capabilities to small & medium businesses everywhere, in a modern, flexible platform which is as easy as possible for your teams to adopt and embed within new and existing business processes.
We always strive to balance power and capability of the platform with simplicity and value for money. This includes committing to a consistent licensing model which includes all our core features.
Easier than ever to adopt.
FileHound 3.4 brings exciting updates to the user interface, most notably the new and improved toolbar. Our new icons and labels support our ongoing goal to make FileHound more intuitive than ever before. Even users who are unfamiliar with EDMS solutions will feel right at home with our friendly, self-explanatory user interface.

This latest update includes some improvements to document previewing. Thumbnails are produced faster and also contain tags to show the format of every file at a glance.
Find it faster.
Improved search capabilities and overall performance under the hood. FileHound 3.4 now allows users to perform basic filter searches instantly with our new ‘search bubbles’, without the need to setup a Smart Folder that can now be saved as a feature for more complex searches.
New document version? Not a problem.
FileHound 3.4 introduces document version control. You can now upload new version of any document in the system. Don’t worry, FileHound can keep the previous versions on record, so you can always review and restore them back at a later date if needed. All activity around version control is logged and made visible in Audit History.
Smoother on boarding.
With FileHound 3.4 we’ve also added a range of tools and methods to more easily enable your organisation to import legacy documents into FileHound in a structured way, from any standard file store, be it a shared network drive, or even a USB stick.
Integrations? Again not a problem.
For the geeks out there, we’ve also been hard at work improving the FileHound API, with dozens more methods allowing for broader and deeper integration with third party applications, or organisation-specific systems. Alongside our API, we’re also offering simpler, more streamlined lookups to external datasources than ever before.
We’ve been hard at work on more enhancements for future enhancements to FileHound. We’ve been partnering with Amazon Web Services to bring Machine Learning and Intelligent, cloud OCR capabilities to the FileHound platform.
